AFROCHELLA PARTNERS WITH AUDIOMACK TO INCREASE VISIBILITY WITH RISING AFRICAN TALENT
Audiomack has teamed up with Ghana’s Afrochella Festival to create a rising stars challenge for up and coming talent in Africa.
Music streaming platform, Audiomack, is taking over Ghana’s Afrochella festival with a fervent force. Both agencies have teamed up to support emerging musicians in the region with a $1000 fund, and other support.
African artists can submit their music and portfolio for an opportunity to perform at Afrochella‘s Festival on December 28th at El Wak Stadium.
Twenty-Five of the best submissions will be included in a curated Audiomack playlist for the public to vote through streams, favorites, and shares. The artist with the most engagement will win $1000 USD; a studio session at BBNZ live; as well as an artist feature on Audiomack’s platform. Only 7 artists will be vetted to perform on stage.
Afrochella Founder, Abdul Karim-Abdullah says “This partnership is our way of ensuring Africa’s rising stars have an opportunity to maximize their reach; as well as ensure a fair and transparent process for selecting opening acts.”
This is the 3rd annual Afrochella festival and the official closing event for Ghana’s Year of Return — a campaign marking the 400 years of the first enslaved African arriving in Jamestown, Virginia.
Audiomack is sponsoring Afrochella to promote the visibility of African talent and empower the community of artists through a panel discussion with music and media leaders like Ivie Ani, Tenille Clarke, Juls (Producer) and more.
The rising stars challenges begins October 21st, 2019 and closes December 17th, 2019. Artists can follow instructions and apply at https://afrochellarisingstar.carrd.co/
