Kwesi Arthur hits a homerun for Live From NkrumahKrom II
Live from NkrumahKrom II solidifies Kwesi Arthur’s place in music.
When Kwesi Arthur first popped onto Al Gore’s internet in 2017 making covers, everyone knew he was talented. However, no one knew in the span of 2 years, he’d have the hottest hip hop song in the country, be awarded the Best Hip Hop song at the Ghana Music Awards, be nominated for a BET award and become one of the hottest musicians in Africa.
Today, the 24 year old from Tema, releases his second project, Live from NkrumahKrom II: The Homerun. Premiered on Ebro’s Beats 1 show yesterday, the star studded LFNKII, features Nasty C, Santi, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Mr Eazi.
Influenced by Drake to make music about his personal life and emotions, Kwesi Arthur’s Live From NkrumahKrom II does just that. It switches between themes of love, struggle and ambition, while transitioning smoothly between genres.
Kwesi Arthur’s growth is evident on this tape, just as it is in real life. He is no longer be the boy from Tema. Kwesi Arthur now carries the flag for Africa, but his heart is still Nkrumahkrom to the very core.
