Described by Sportscene SA as new wave generation’s minister of energy, Benny Chill bounces between rhyme and rhythm on Yebo. 

Benny Chill definitely made a statement with this song and EP. We are glad to have caught the ministry.

Kenyan singer-songwriter Chemutai Sage brings the smooth and soft to our playlist with the single “Oceans” off her long-awaited project Jungle Trap. 

Taking three years to create, Jungle Trap charts a journey to self love, with Oceans being a declaration of love-worthiness. 

  • Jess eta – resistance ft sgawd

The Jess ETA – SGaWD combination is so far unmatched. After their very sexy feature on Like Me, the two connect again for another R&B number.

Nigerian rapper turned singer Victony proves versatility is his forte. Off his debut Saturn EP, Maria is a smooth afropop tune featuring African popstar Falz. 

With catchy melodies and an easy sing-along chorus, Maria establishes Victony as one of the new artists to watch out for in Nigeria. 

He was also named Apple Music’s artist of the month for August 2020 and we definitely agree. 

  • ALPHA OJINI – CHORISTER FT MOELOGO

Lagos-based Nigerian rapper, producer and audio engineer Alpha Ojini gets into his afropop bag on Chorister. 

Featuring musician Moelogo, Chorister has a light summer-y tempo fit for an African love song. 

Moelogo’s soft vocals are the icing on this sonic cake. 

  • Ginius – UCHEMA

British-Ghanaian musician and producer Ginius leaves a lasting impression with her self produced three-track EP “Happy to be Outside”. Uchema, is a happy high spirited Amapiano track that is sure to get you off your feet. 

The recent Leeds University graduate is also the first ever Black woman to complete the Chemical and Nuclear engineering program at the university.
